A wind advisory is in effect from 10 a.m. Friday to 7 a.m. Saturday, according to the National Weather Service.
The forecast calls for south winds 15 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph expected.
The forecast calls for windy conditions in the greater San Francisco Bay Area, the Central Coast and San Benito County.
The advisory notes that gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Downed trees and downed powers lines may lead to travel hazard or power outages.
It says to use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high-profile vehicle, and to secure outdoor objects.
