Waller retires, Sparling hired as director of hospital foundation

Courtesy of the Hazel Hawkins Hospital Foundation:

Kris Waller is retiring on July 10 as executive director of the Hazel Hawkins Hospital Foundation and will be greatly missed.

She has been with the district for over six years, three of them as the director. She has been involved with major campaigns for the hospital including Operation Renovation, the main hospital renovation, the opening of the Barragan Family Diabetes Center, enhancing health care centers, refreshing our outpatient centers and the Mabie Makeover – refreshing Mabie Northside SNF.

All of these campaigns were huge successes and have made a big impact on the hospital. We wish Kris the best with her retirement! Thank you, Kris, for all you did for HHMH.

Liz Sparling

Hazel Hawkins Memorial Hospital appointed Liz Sparling as the new Foundation Director, replacing Waller. Sparling has over three years of experience with the HHMH Foundation, having held the position of senior foundation associate prior to her promotion.

Sparling attended CSU, Chico majoring in Journalism, Public Relations with a minor in marketing. She is very involved in our community having served as a past executive director for both the Hollister Downtown Association and the SBC Chamber of Commerce. Sparling has also been a board member of numerous local nonprofit organizations and has extensive business connections within our community. The foundation welcomes her as our new director.
