A vehicle fire Sunday afternoon left the automobile fully engulfed on San Justo Road, with billowing smoke visible from miles away.
The fire reported at 3:36 p.m. was visible on the entire stretch of Highway 156. It was unclear what type of vehicle was involved in the fire. There was just a single vehicle involved, and firefighters arrived to put out the fire to the vehicle parked on the right shoulder of the roadway. The California Highway Patrol arrived to block traffic from the scene on San Justo Road near Lucy Brown Lane in an area surrounded by farm fields. The CHP noted that the fire was not near any power lines or brush.
