The San Benito County Sheriff’s Office on Friday morning found a homemade bomb, or improvised explosive device, inside a Hollister home near Nash Road and Homestead Avenue. The sheriff’s office called in the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office Bomb Squad to help handle the explosive, and authorities detonated it in a nearby field.
