USDA Secretary Sonny Perdue will visit the Hollister area this Wednesday to view a farm and see some of the latest technology used in the fields, according to Congressman Jimmy Panetta’s office.
Perdue will tour Sabor Farms on Fairview Road at 5:45 p.m. Wednesday with Richard Bianchi to view imaging equipment used in fertilization and thinning of lettuce in the field. The secretary will be available to media for questions.
Then on Thursday at 8 a.m., Perdue will tour Uesugi Farms on Highway 25 and hold media availability.
