Two small earthquakes shook the San Juan Bautista area early Tuesday morning.
The quakes registered at magnitudes of 2.9 and 3.1, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The 2.9 quake occurred at 2:24 a.m. It was centered about two miles west of San Juan. The 3.1 earthquake was about four minutes later in the same location, according to the USGS.
The second quake was felt as far north as the Oakland area and as far south as Marina.
Those earthquakes occurred about a day after several small earthquakes in or near San Benito County on Monday morning.
