Target expects spring completion for Hollister remodel

You may have noticed changes at Hollister’s Target store these days. That’s because the store is among those being remodeled across the country.

Target expects its remodel of the Hollister store to be finished this spring, said spokeswoman Liz Hancock.

Hancock responded to San Benito Live’s questions over email. She said Target plans to remodel more than 1,000 stores by the end of 2020.

She said the reason is to “enhance the guest experience with the next generation of store design.”

“The reimagined stores will feature Target’s most ambitious store redesign to date, including modernized design elements—to create a guest experience that is warm and inviting and hip and cool—and bringing more technology and digital experiences to our stores to give guests an experience that’s even easier and more inspiring,” Hancock wrote.

She confirmed the Hollister store is slated to be completed later this spring with enhancements that include:

  • Enhanced merchandise presentations throughout the store to provide guests with inspiration, including updated décor, additional mannequins, modern fixtures, and specialty lighting.
  • Updated Order Pickup and Guest service counter, ensuring an easier and faster experience for guests picking up online orders.
  • A specialty beauty environment that inspires and invites guests to shop, including new fixtures, enhanced lighting and layout.

She said the average investment per store ranges from $4 million to $10 million for a typical remodel.
