Students invited to make water conservation videos

The Water Resources Association of San Benito County is hosting a student video contest focused on helping to educate the public about water conservation.
The Water Resources Association wanted to get the word out on the upcoming contest, which will involve prize money for the top three videos.
The following is more information about the contest and who can enter:
What prizes are offered?

  • 1st Place – $1,000
  • 2nd Place – $500
  • 3rd Place – $300

All three winning videos will be featured on the Water Resources Association website and a local news website. In addition, the winning videos and runner-ups will be shown at a movie theater in Hollister for an Oscar night type awards ceremony during May 2019, which is Water Awareness Month.
Inspire others to save water by making a short newscast, skit, animation, commercial or even a music video.
All entries must be student-created. The entry may not contain any copyrighted material of any medium (music, images, etc.) and no professional assistance is allowed. Such use will result in an automatic disqualification.
