Student scholars get Pizza with the Principal

San Benito High School invited its student scholars to a lunchtime Pizza With the Principal event in the main quad Wednesday, to recognize students for their academic performance during the 2018-19 school year.

Principal Adrian Ramirez, Superintendent Dr. Shawn Tennenbaum, Vice Principal Deborah Armstrong, and other Baler staff handed out pizza, beverages and desserts to the scholars, who earlier in the day received their recognition items.

202 students with a permanent GPA of 3.5 or above received an Academic Block H patch; 220 students earned a “repeater patch” after having previously earned an Academic Block H; 392 students earned an AP Star Patch for passing one or more Advanced Placement exams last Spring; 375 current seniors earned an SBAC Performance Pin for achieving “met or exceeded standard” in English Language Arts; and 200 earned the pin for the achievement in math.
