The countywide Spelling Bee is around the C-O-R-N-E-R.
The San Benito County Office of Education puts on the annual spelling bee. It will be held Jan. 23 and Jan. 24 at Ladd Lane Elementary School. Students in grades 4-6 will take part on Jan. 23, with grades 7-8 the following day.
It will be the 21st annual spelling bee, with top two in each division moving on to represent the county at the state finals. Last year, those winners received $100 gift cards as prizes.
