Slight delays expected on 101 for three days due to roadwork

The Caltrans Salinas North Maintenance team will perform pavement maintenance and sweeping on U.S. Highway 101 in the Prunedale area next week in the following locations:

  • The northbound #1 (left) lane of U.S. Highway 101 at Sala Road will be closed on Monday, Oct. 29 from 9 am until 1 pm for surface grinding.
  • The northbound #2 (right) lane of US Highway 101 at Sala Road will be closed on Tuesday, Oct. 30 from 9 am until 1 pm for surface grinding.
  • Motorists can expect delays not to exceed 20 minutes each day.
  • Caltrans will conduct a moving sweeping operation in the No. 1 (left) lane of US Highway 101 in both directions between Boronda Road and the US Highway 101/State Route 156 Interchange on Wednesday, Oct. 31 and Thursday, Nov. 1 between 9 am and 2 pm.  The CHP will be present to ensure a safe environment for everyone.
