It looks like San Benito County isn’t quite in the clear from the rain, with showers expected to hit the Hollister and San Juan Bautista areas Monday evening.
The National Weather Service is forecasting a 90 percent chance of showers expected to start in the late afternoon or early evening for the local area. That’s a bit of a surprise, since there had been no rain in the foreseeable forecast as of late last week.
It looks as though the rain will last into early-morning hours as well.
Forecasters expect between one-tenth of an inch to a quarter-inch of rain from the storm.
For the rest of the week, locals can expect mostly sunny weather with a warm spell coming mid-week. Temperatures are supposed to hit 73 degrees Wednesday, 81 degrees Thursday and 79 on Friday, according to the weather service.
