SBHS to offer workshops for migrant parents

The San Benito High School migrant program will offer four workshops for parents, covering topics including more and better family communication, how to support your child through the teenage years, and parenting strategies, among others. The workshop series will take place on Thursday, April 26, and three consecutive Tuesdays: May 1, 8 and 15. All workshops will be held in the school cafeteria, except for the May 15 event, which will be held in the school library. Register by calling Elizabeth Martinez at 637-5831, ext. 702. Childcare will be provided.

El programa de migrantes de la preparatoria San Benito ofrecerá cuatro talleres para padres, que cubrirán temas que incluyen más y mejor comunicación familiar, cómo apoyar a su hijo durante la adolescencia y estrategias para padres, entre otros. La serie de talleres se llevará a cabo el jueves 26 de abril y tres martes consecutivos: 1, 8 y 15 de mayo. Todos los talleres se llevarán a cabo en la cafetería escolar, excepto el evento del 15 de mayo, que se llevará a cabo en la biblioteca de la escuela.
