San Benito High School alumna Amy Quinones was named to the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association 2018-19 all-academic team.
Amy wrapped up her collegiate career by leading the team in every cross country meet in the fall, earning all-conference honors in the mile during the indoor season and qualifying for the NCAA West Preliminary in the 1500 outdoors.
She will leave Sacramento State ranked third all-time in the indoor mile (4:51.87), fourth in the outdoor 1500 (4.23.99) and fifth in the outdoor 800 (2:08.54). She was also part of the distance medley relay team that ran 11:53.24 at the UW Invitational to move into third place all-time at Sacramento State.
The health science major also scored for the team in the 800 and 1500 at the Big Sky Championships to help the women claim the team title.
