San Juan City Hall covered with tent for fumigation

No, San Juan Bautista City Hall isn’t hosting the circus.
City Hall will be covered with a tent for fumigation until 10 a.m. Monday after the process started Friday, according to the city’s website. The city didn’t release too many details on the fumigation efforts other than noting the days City Hall will be closed. It’s a precursor to the city’s re-roofing project for City Hall.
In the meantime, firefighters assigned to the Mission City have been sleeping at the Posada de San Juan hotel on 3rd Street in San Juan, according to the city.
According to an announcement put out Friday by the City of San Juan Bautista:
It is a busy time for City Hall, the building that is. Roof repairs are currently in full swing. Beginning Friday, November 2, City Hall will be tented and fumigated. After the fumigation, the re-roof project will be completed.
During the re-roofing project, please enter City Hall only at the front door. If the door is locked, please call (831) 623-4661 and staff can come to the door.
City Hall will be closed Friday, November 2 for tenting and fumigation. This includes the Fire Station. Fire personnel and equipment will be relocated to the Posada de San Juan during these dates. Fire personnel and equipment will be available as usual for service and emergency calls. Please continue to call 911 for any emergency. City Hall will reopen at 10 a.m. on Monday, November 5.

Please contact City Hall with any questions. Thank you for your patience with these projects.
