Calfire on Monday reported that the Beaver Fire in southern San Benito County was 95 percent contained.

The fire that started six days ago has been at 215 acres for several days. It was 95 percent contained as of 10:12 a.m. Monday, according to Calfire’s incidents page.

Calfire on Tuesday started fighting the Beaver Fire off Coalinga Road and Airline Highway east of King City. The fire was initially reported at 250 acres and 20 percent contained as of 7:38 p.m. Tuesday, according to Calfire, which adjusted the total downward from there.

The Airline and Eastern fires, nearby in south San Benito County, started the evening of June 4 but were out as of June 11 at 6:14 p.m., according to the Calfire incidents database.

The Airline Fire burned 1,314 acres, while the Eastern Fire burned 513 acres. Both of the wildfires were along Coalinga Road, one east of Bitterwater and the other near Airline Highway.

Those fires started around the same time as the 64-acre Panoche Fire in the 20000 block of Panoche Road that is believed to have sparked with a camping trailer fire, which resulted in the deaths of a 27-year-old woman, her 3-year-old and her 8-month-old child.
