San Benito County has confirmed one COVID-19 case in the past four days and has gone 11 straight days with fewer than two newly confirmed infections.
The county has 48 confirmed cases in the most recent data updated by the county Monday. The newly confirmed case was reported today, after three consecutive days without a new infection.
The county data show 48 confirmed cases that include 43 recovered patients, three active cases and two deaths.
The county released the following Monday:
To date, a total of 883 patients in San Benito County (SBC) have been tested for COVID-19 at 18 reporting laboratories. Of these, 808 have tested negative for COVID-19 and 27 are pending results. Fifty-nine percent (517) of patients tested were female. Patients ages ranged from 10 months to 101 years (median: 44 years). SBC Public Health Services continues to work with medical providers to identify and test individuals who meet criteria for COVID-19 testing. As of April 27, 2020, there have been a total of 48 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in SBC; 3 cases remain active. Confirmed cases include patients who have since recovered and those who are deceased. Forty-three patients have recovered and are no longer considered active cases in SBC. A total of two deaths have been reported in SBC, one during weeks 12 and 14, respectively.
