San Benito County confirms 34th COVID-19 case

San Benito County had 34 cases of COVID-19 confirmed as of Thursday afternoon, one more than the prior day.

The county released its latest numbers, with 25 patients recovered and two deaths among the cases. There are seven active cases in the county.

Below is the latest from the county:

To date, a total of 457 patients in San Benito County have been tested for COVID-19 at eight reporting laboratories.

Of these, 400 have tested negative for COVID-19 and 23 are pending results.

Fifty-eight percent (266) of patients tested were female. Patients ages ranged from 10 months to 101 years (median: 46 years).

San Benito County Public Health Services continues to work with medical providers to identify and test individuals who meet criteria for COVID-19 testing.

As of April 9, 2020, there have been a total of 34 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in San Benito County; 7 cases remain active. Confirmed cases include patients who have since recovered and those who are deceased. Twenty-five patients have recovered and are no longer considered active cases in San Benito County.

A total of 2 deaths have been reported in SanBenito County, during weeks 12 and 14, respectively. All results included in this update are current to April 9, 2020 at 2:00PM.
