San Benito County: 33 confirmed cases of COVID-19

San Benito County has reported 33 confirmed cases of COVID-19, two more than Tuesday’s report. 

The county has 14 active cases, with 17 recovered patients and two deaths, according to the county’s update released at mid-day. 

According to the announcement: 

To date, a total of 420 patients in San Benito County have been tested for COVID-19 at eight reporting laboratories. Of these, 356 have tested negative for COVID-19 and 31 are pending results. Sixty-one percent (254) of patients tested were female. Patients ages ranged from 10 months to 101 years (median: 46 years).  San Benito County Public Health Services continues to work with medical providers to identify and test individuals who meet criteria for COVID-19 testing. As of April 8, 2020, there have been a total of 33 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in San Benito County; 14 cases remain active. Confirmed cases include patients who have since recovered and those who are deceased.  Seventeen patients have recovered and are no longer considered active cases in San Benito County. A total of two deaths have been reported in San Benito County, one during weeks 12 and 14, respectively. All results included in this update are current to April 8, 2020 at 11:30AM.
