It has been three months since the Hollister School District has provided an update on the progress towards completion of Rancho Santana School.
“We checked every box towards completion of this project,” Superintendent Diego Ochoa said. “We are on schedule and really excited about our newest campus.”
As completion of Rancho Santana School charges ahead, the wonderful progress continues. The project has been led by Director of Facilities Aaron Buzzetta. The entire campus will include 12 acres for the expected 850-student capacity. Rancho Santana School will be the district’s 11th school.
Recent project accomplishments include:
- Buildings B, C, D, and E: Completion of all concrete foundation work.
- Buildings B & C: Completion of steel structure and roof structures.
- All Ornamental Bell Towers: Completion of structures.
- Buildings B & C: Completion of exterior stucco base and interior walls.
- Underground utilities: Substantial progress.
Superintendent Ochoa has been working closely with Mr. Buzzetta throughout the process.
“The progress that Aaron has been able to ensure is just amazing,” Ochoa said. “I can’t wait to have students, families, and staff see this school in six months when the vast majority of the project nears completion.”
Funding for the school has been secured by the school district through a combination of Bond measure funds and developer fees. Rancho Santana School will be a two-story school that consists of an administration building, library/media center, thirty-five classrooms, a playground, ball courts, and turf fields.
“Building should continue at a rapid pace, despite the challenges posed by COVID-19,” Buzzetta said.
Rancho Santana School is slated to open in August 2021.The school is located off Fairview Road and Sunnyslope Drive. For more information, contact Superintendent Diego Ochoa at email@example.com.
