Rain expected for Thanksgiving week

The first rain storms of the season are forecast for Thanksgiving week in Hollister and San Juan Bautista.
Rain is possible Wednesday through Friday in the Hollister area, according to the National Weather Service. It would be the first significant stretch of rain locally for the 2018-19 rainy season.
The rainy season typically starts as early as October and usually runs into March.
The National Weather Service forecast calls for a 90 percent chance of rain Wednesday, starting in the morning. It could reach up to a half-inch of precipitation, according to the weather service.
On Thursday, the forecast lists a chance of showers, and Friday rain is likely, according to the weather service. By Saturday, the skies should clear up for the weekend, according to the weather service.
In San Juan, the forecast is similar aside from possible showers Tuesday night as well.
As for temperatures, expect highs in the upper 60s and lows in the 40s most of the week.
