Photos: Rotary hears from Rising International founder on helping women out of poverty

Rotary Club of Hollister held its regular meeting Monday at Paine’s Restaurant, and members heard a presentation from Carmel Jud, founder and executive director of Rising International. Jud’s organization sells “crafts made by women living in the poorest and most dangerous places in the world” and, thus, helps them to escape poverty. Also Monday as shown in the photos, Rotary welcomed new members Patrick Ellis of Chamberlain’s Children Center and Aranyani Azevedo of Sun Street Centers.
