Yoon “Clara” Ji was born on September 12, 1968 in Cheonan, South Korea. She moved to the United States in 1999 and has been living in Hollister, CA since. Yoon passed away on November 28, 2017. She is survived by her two daughters Serena and Catharina Ji, as well as her five siblings, mother and friends.
In Korea, Yoon worked as a nurse at a hospital for several years before moving to Hollister. After moving, Yoon got a job at Miyakos restaurant in Hollister and touched many lives as a waitress, befriending her coworkers and customers. After many years waitressing, she moved on to become the business owner of Hollister Laundromat. In this role, she had a strong presence in the community as well. Many people knew her for her friendly personality, kind words and positive outlook. Yoon liked to Zumba dance, care for her garden, and keep in touch with her family back in Korea.
Yoon was a caring mother, friend, and family member. Her greatest love was her family and she worked hard to provide a good life for her daughters. Yoon was loved by anyone who met her and will be greatly missed.
