The San Benito County Saddle Horse Association named Kelsee French as the 2018 Miss San Benito Rodeo on Saturday, according to the Bolado Park Events Center where the event was held.
French takes over as Miss San Benito Rode for Corissa King, who won the title last year.
Miss San Benito Rodeo represents the rodeo organization, with contestants judged on a variety of horsemanship and personality traits in the pageant.
The Miss San Benito Rodeo leads off this year’s festivities. Next weekend, there is a Memorial Rodeo at 9 a.m. Saturday and the return of the Saddle Horse Parade in downtown Hollister at 11 a.m. Saturday. Then on June 17, next Sunday, there’s a Figure 8 Roping contest at 8 a.m. and an association barbecue at 1:30 p.m.
