A motorcycle rider died Thursday in a single-vehicle accident in Hollister.
The incident at about 4:30 p.m. was at the intersection of McCray and Fourth streets, according to Hollister Police Department Sgt. Don Pershall.
The victim was Robert Barraza, 52, of Hollister, according to the San Benito County Coroner’s Office.
He was ejected from the motorcycle. He was being lifeflighted when complications occurred, prompting the helicopter to land and transport him to Hazel Hawkins Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
There were no other vehicles involved, while an investigation is under way, Pershall said.
