Monterey Bay Community Power weighs deferring part of bills

MBCP is holding a special meeting for its Policy Board of Directors Monday, April 13 at 10:30 a.m. to adopt a resolution authorizing the CEO to defer 50% of generation charges incurred in May and June 2020 billing periods for all customers to mitigate financial impact of COVID-19 pandemic.

If approved, MBCP customers will experience a total deferred cost savings of $22.4 million for an immediate and impactful two month bill savings.
