The San Benito County Sheriff’s Office found two home-made bombs in a home near Nash Road and Homestead Avenue on Friday morning.
It happened while serving a search warrant for a wanted suspect, who was not at the home.
The Monterey County Bomb Squad came in to detonate one of the improvised explosive devices in a nearby field.
According to a statement from the local sheriff’s office:
The San Benito County Sheriff’s Office served a search warrant in the area of the 700 block of Nash Rd in the city of Hollister this morning. During the search, two home-made explosive devices were located. One was disassembled by the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office Bomb Squad and one was just detonated. The public is not and was not at risk.
