Hollister City Council members will hold a special town hall meeting next week to talk over three key matters with residents: Growth, the downtown and traffic near schools.
Council members felt those three topics in particular deserved special attention for a town hall-style dialogue with citizens.
The meeting is set for 7 p.m. Jan. 30, next Wednesday, at the Veterans Memorial Building in downtown Hollister.
“This is very important that we all hear from you and get your input so we can start planning the vision for our community,” Mayor Ignacio Velazquez said at this week’s council meeting.
Officials discussed setting a time limit of perhaps 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., but council members decided it’s best to limit the speaking time to two minutes for each person.
