Hollister police Monday afternoon lifted a warning sent to the public about police activity in an area of the city.
Previously, shortly after 1 p.m. Hollister police alerted the public to police activity in the area of Gabilan Drive and Highland Avenue on Monday afternoon. About 20 minutes later, police sent a follow-up message saying the area is clear.
According to police in the original message:
There is police activity in the area of Gabilan and Highland in connection for a search of a wanted person. Hollister Police Officers, San Benito County Sheriffs Deputies and San Bento County Probation are in the area.
