Hollister police launches citizens academy

The Hollister Police Department is adding a new citizens academy.

According to the HPD:

May 2, 2017 – The Hollister Police Department will begin accepting applications for its Citizens Academy. The Academy will begin classes on Thursday, August 10, 2017.

Eligibility requirements for acceptance into the Citizens Academy are:

  • Must be 18 years of age
  • No history of felony convictions
  • Must be a resident of San Benito County

Applications must be turned into Hollister Police Department, (395 Apollo Way, Hollister, CA 95023) no later than
Friday, June16th @ 5:00 pm

After receiving all applications, an evaluation will occur for eligibility.
This list will be paired down to 25 applicants after all applications are evaluated and graded.This group will then be livescanned/fingerprinted at the Hollister Police Department.

Successful applicants will begin class on Thursday, August 10, 2017 at Hollister Police Department
