A 37-year-old Hollister motorcycle rider from Hollister died in a fatal traffic incident Wednesday morning on Highway 25.
Richardpeter Holguin, age 37, was killed in the collision that also involved a pickup truck.
The incident occurred at 5:35 a.m. when Holguin was riding a 2001 Honda CBR600 northbound on 25 south of Shore Road.
A 35-year-old woman from Watsonville was in a 2017 Ford F-150 southbound on the highway.
She was in a left-turn lane when southbound traffic came to a complete stop. Holguin was in the right-turn lane passing the stopped vehicles when the pickup betan to make a left turn onto Shore Road when the motorcycle proceeded into the intersection.
The front of the motorcycle collided into the rear of the pickup and was ejected. He was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics. The pickup driver was uninjured.
