Authorities identified a Hollister man who died in a traffic collision on Shore Road on Friday.
The victim was Eduardo Conchas-DeJesus, according to the San Benito County coroner. The coroner’s office said he was age 23, while the CHP initially reported he was 30.
The accident was reported at 7:05 p.m. Friday on Shore Road east of Lake Road.
According to the CHP, the unidentified fatality victim was in a 1999 Ford Escort driving in eastbound traffic behind a 29-year-old from Escalon in a 2017 Chevrolet Camaro. There were two passengers in the Escalon as well.
The victim passed the Camaro driver in the westbound lane. But when he moved back into the eastbound lane, the back right of the Escort collided with the front right of the Camaro.
The Hollister driver then lost control, with the vehicle overturning several times and the victim ejected.
Neither alcohol nor drugs are suspected as being involved, while the investigation remains under investigation.
