The San Benito County Business Council will host a special presentation and conversation with Gavilan College President Dr. Kathleen Rose from noon to 1:30 p.m. Thursday at San Juan Oaks.
Members should RSVP immediately, as the presentation is nearing capacity.
Rose will update the business council about Gavilan’s Educational and Facilities Master Plans as well as an update on the San Benito County Campus.
The Business Council Executive Committee had the opportunity last month to meet with Rose and Vice President Fred Harris to discuss the past and future of the college and the exploration of a potential facilities bond measure.
Gavilan College currently serves 2,622 students from San Benito County inclusive of all facilities. The college has invested $9.4 million to date to establish a San Benito County campus in southeast Hollister at the corner of Fairview Road and Airline Highway.
