Expect delays on southbound 101 next week

Caltrans reported that drivers heading south on Highway 101 next week may experience some delays from Tuesday through Thursday due to roadwork.
According to Caltrans:

The Caltrans Salinas South Maintenance crew will be performing pavement repair on southbound U.S. Highway 101 between Mallory Canyon  Rd. and Messick Rd. in the Prunedale area from Tuesday, Oct. 9 through Thursday, Oct. 11, Caltrans officials have announced.

The southbound #2 (right) lane of U.S. Highway 101 will be closed Tuesday through Thursday from 9 am to 1 p.m. each day. Delays of up to 25 minutes are expected and motorists are advised to use an alternate route.

Roadwork is being done by the Salinas South Maintenance crew to ensure a safe roadway for the traveling public. Electronic message signs will be present to alert the public of this closure. The CHP will be present to assist with enforcement and traffic control.

Caltrans reminds motorists to move over and slow down when driving through highway construction zones.
