A 3.4 magnitude earthquake struck in the Aromas area Wednesday morning.
The jolting earthquake happened at 10:02 a.m. It was centered about a mile east of Aromas, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. It was at a depth of about four miles.
There have been several small earthquakes in San Benito County over the past week, mostly in the Tres Pinos area.
Wednesday’s earthquake centered near Aromas was felt with a moderate rattling in the San Juan Bautista area as well.
