The Hollister School District is excited to announce that Anissa Dizon has been named principal of Rancho Santana School. Mrs. Dizon has been an educator for more than two decades and spent the first ten years of her career as a teacher and assistant principal for the Aromas San Juan Unified School District. Since 2016, she has served as an instructional coach and assistant principal for the Hollister School District. She is currently an assistant principal at Maze Middle School.

As the first leader of Rancho Santana School, Mrs. Dizon will work to inspire teachers to do challenging and incredible work on behalf of Rancho Santana students. Mrs. Dizon said, “I am extremely honored to be named Rancho Santana School Principal and begin the journey of creating a safe, challenging learning environment in our district.  I come to Rancho Santana School with a passion for learning, collaboration, and breakthrough leadership.  I look forward to building a diverse culture of trust, equitable practices and building a strong partnership with our families and community.” Superintendent Diego Ochoa said, “I am thrilled to have Anissa Dizon serve as the first-ever principal of Rancho Santana School. She is an exemplary leader with a passion for education. She will be a huge asset to that educational community.”

Rancho Santana School is located off Fairview Road and Sunnyslope Drive. The entire campus will include 12 acres of space for the expected 850 student capacity. Rancho Santana School will be the district’s eleventh school. Funding for the school has been secured by the school district through a combination of Bond measure funds and developer fees. Rancho Santana School will be a two-story school that consists of an administration building, library/media center, thirty-five classrooms, a playground, ball courts, and turf fields.  Mrs. Dizon said, “I realize this is a once in a lifetime opportunity to create a school that will focus on student achievement and student well being. I can’t wait for the 2021-2022 school year!”
