The Hollister School District will hold a groundbreaking for the new Rancho Santana School on Thursday.
The groundbreaking is scheduled for 1 p.m. Thursday at the site of the planned school, 1454 Santana Ranch Drive.
The school, with a cost of over $50 million on 12.5 acres, is at the Santana Ranch subdivision at Fairview and Sunnyslope roads that’s been under development.
The site will include an administration building, library, 42 classrooms, a playground, ball courts and turf fields, according to Otto Construction’s description of the project.
The district hopes to open the new school for the 2021 school year.
