San Benito County supervisors Tuesday agreed to a new 10-year agreement with Recology for waste services.
Supervisors unanimously approved the contract, extending the current provider for another decade. Supervisors previously awarded the exclusive negotiation rights to Recology over two other bidders, RJR Recycling and GreenWaste.
Officials noted in the discussion that the new rates are an increase that will take effect Nov. 1, while nobody spoke during the protest portion of the discussion.
