The demolition of the existing buildings near the decommissioned pools on San Benito High School’s main campus is the latest step in the construction of a student pathway that will ease access from the north to south campuses across Nash Road.
In the first week following graduation, crews knocked down the storage buildings adjacent to the pools, which previously had been drained and will become the pathway once infilled.
The new campus aquatics center on the south side of campus is slated to open near the new stadium in the fall. Construction of the pathway, which is being financed by state matching funds, is expected to continue into October.
