The San Benito Stage Company’s latest production – “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang” premieres this weekend at San Benito High School.
Performance dates are July 12-27 at the San Benito High School Auditorium, 1220 Monterey St. Friday and Saturday performances are at 7 p.m., with Sunday shows at 2 p.m.
The show is a comedy about an inventor who uses gadgets to build a magical car, while his two children are the lead characters who get in an adventure.
“It’s a good family show,” producer Jeanine Gonzalez said told San Benito Live in May.
The car is the “basis for the show” and the local Veterans of Foreign Wars chapter helped to create the prop vehicle for it.
