A brush fire led to a temporary shutdown for part of Highway 156 near Hollister on Tuesday afternoon.
The fire was reported at 1:16 p.m.. near San Felipe Road in the Hollister area, according to the California Highway Patrol. Authorities closed down the road shortly after 2 p.m. Caltrans was assisting with traffic diversion as of 2:41 p.m., while the fire was out.
Shortly after 2 p.m., fire authorities noted they may have to shut down that portion of the road for a few hours, but the CHP notes that one lane of traffic is clear with delays.
