Four San Benito High School students were honored as BALER Strong Students of the Week for Dec. 3-7 and presented with a certificate. SBHS teachers, counselors and administrators each week recognize students who model the core values of the school, as represented by the STRONG acronym, which stands for Scholarship, Teamwork, Reflection, Opportunity, Nurture and Growth.
Seniors Karina and Abigail Gonzalez were nominated by Long Term Independent Studies for their scholarship. The sisters, who will be graduating early, have a 97 percent in all required senior classes and each of them completes “every detail of every assignment,” their nomination said. “The respect and responsibility the twins show for their education is exemplary.”
Sophomore Zoi Andrade was nominated for her teamwork by the Special Education Department. Her nomination said “she is an amazing student and is always willing to help her classmates.”
Sophomore Logan Galu was also nominated for his scholarship by Special Education, which noted, “He is the hardest working student I have ever seen.”
