Anzar prepares for transition to new principal

Anzar High School Principal Charlene McKowen plans to retire after the 2018-19 school year, and the local district is hosting a meeting Tuesday to get public feedback on the transition.
According to an announcement posted on Anzar’s website:
In aiming for a smooth transition and clear expectations, School Board trustees Monica Martinez-Guaracha and Jennifer Colby are hosting the first of two meetings to hear from as many of you as possible about YOUR priorities for the new Principal who will be hired for Anzar, in preparation for the retirement of Principal McKowen after the next school year (2018 – 2019). Please come and make your voices heard- Tuesday, May 1, at 6:30 PM in the Library! Apologies for the short notice, but there WILL be food provided, along with a deep appreciation for your time and your opinions. The second meeting will take place on May 23, beginning at 4:30 (the normal timing for Anzar Site Council, who will co-host the second meeting). PLEASE COME!
Look back for more.
