Agenda: County looks at cutting landfill tipping fees

San Benito County supervisors are set to meet at 9 a.m. Tuesday to discuss the following at the County Administration Building, 481 Fourth St.

  • Approve contract for European Grapevine Moth detection survey activities for 2018.
  • Approve contract renewals with Gary Ernst, fiscal consultant, for 2018-19 for a maximum of $115,000; John Muir Behavioral Health Center for $75,000; Salvador Lodge Board and Care for $40,000; California Locums psychiatry services for $375,000; Front Street Residential Care for $48,000; Charis Youth Center for $80,000; 7th Avenue Skilled Nursing Facility for $89,000; IDEA Consulting for $147,000.
  • Approve MOU between the workforce boards of Monterey and San Benito counties for pre-apprenticeship training for $40,225.
  • Approve contract with 4 Leave for May through June to pay for building inspection, plan review, technical assistance in the planning and building division of the Resource Management Agency for $490,550.
  • Approve seal coat and slurry projects at various locations and an overlay at two locations.
  • Approve contract with Villa & Sons Building for street sweeping in CSA 9 for $16,200.
  • Receive update from the Long Term Care Commission.
  • Lobbyist Kim Stone to provide an update on various topics of interest to the county.
  • Approve contract amendment of $339,000 for CSG Consultants for May through June 2019 to continue providing program management and technical assistance for Integrated Waste Management.
  • Landfill ad hoc committee recommendation to reduce in-county waste tipping fees at the landfill.
  • Landfill ad hoc committee recommendation to hire Lewis Engineering to conduct an independent landfill disposal capacity study for $18,722.
