Agenda: City reviews Super Hero Run, new radio system, debt financing

Hollister City Council members will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday at Hollister City Hall, 375 Fifth St., to consider the following:

5K Super Hero Run

Staff recommends the council adopt a resolution approving an agreement with Titanium Racing, Inc.to hold a “5K Super Hero” run on July 27.

According to the agenda, recreation staff worked closely with Titanium Racing to provide the inaugural Hollister Recreation 5K Color Run last year with 321 participants.

The agreement on the table Monday is for $7,000.

Debt Management

The council will consider approving a policy for debt management activity for the City of Hollister.

New radio system at HPD

The council will consider the previously approved Public Safety Radio Repeater System to be installed in Hollister emergency vehicles.

New developments

The council will consider approving prezoning 4.69 acres in unincorporated San Benito County at the “Westerly Terminus” of Apricot Lane.

The council will also consider prezoning three parcels totaling 40 acres at 3000 San Felipe Road.

RDA Refinancing

The successor agency for the old redevelopment agency wants the council to approve the “Issuance of Bonds to Refund Certain Outstanding Bonds of the Former Redevelopment Agency.”

Proclamations

The city will issue proclamations, including one for Walk a Mile in Her Shoes, the fundraising walking event  that benefits Emmaus House and Community Solutions. That event is April 13. Additionally, the council will issue a proclamation for National Public Health Week April 1-7 and National Crime Victims’ Rights Week from April 7-13.
