Among the items on this week’s board meeting for the Aromas-San Juan Unified School District, trustees will consider buying 180 new Chromebooks for San Juan and Aromas schools.
The board will meet at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Aromas School, 365 Vega St.
The district’s Technology Committee met in September and recommended the purchase of new Chromebooks for the two schools.
Including the Chromebooks, warranties and other services, the total for the 180 computers is estimated at $56,559 according to the agenda. The district received a quote from three companies for the Chromebooks, which include a lifetime warranty.
Also on the agenda, the board will consider a sunshine proposal from the classified employees union of the district.
