San Benito High School teachers, counselors and administrators each week recognize students as Baler STRONG Students of the Week. STRONG is an acronym for (Scholarship, Teamwork, Reflection, Opportunity, Nurture and Growth), representing the core values of San Benito High School. Each student earning recognition is presented with a certificate signifying the honor.
Here are the recipients from the Math Department for the week of March 4-8.
The following students were presented with Baler STRONG certificates:
Freshman Charlotte Meredith was nominated for the value of Reflection. Her nomination form states that she “epitomizes all facets of the Baler STRONG award: She is a true problem-solver that embraces the growth mindset.” Junior Diana Ornelas was also praised by her math teachers. “Tenacity is one her strongest traits,” her nomination said. “She is always impressive with her grit and motivation.”
The AVID Program nominated two sophomores for Teamwork: Keon Texeira and Max Ramirez-Resendiz. Texeira, his nomination states, “is always willing to go outside the box to help support his AVID family and the program. He has a willingness to learn and engage to make himself better.”
Ramirez-Resendiz, his teachers said, “always helps out during class time and makes sure that his fellow AVID family is working and engaged. He is always willing to help the teachers and he brings a positive attitude everywhere he goes. He is a hard worker and maintains a high GPA.”
