With the Coronavirus and the shelter in place orders that were in place – and subsequent issues about meetings – the Groundwater Sustainability Plan the San Benito County Water District had been working on was put on the back burner.
The district has started to work on it again – see the Progress Report below – on what has been achieved thus far. The Technical Advisory Committee will be meeting next week to start moving forward once again. In fall, the district hopes to be able to hold another public workshop, but it will be through a teleconference rather than in person. The district will have updates on its website at www.sbcwd.com under the Sustainable Groundwater Management tab.
