This week, the San Benito County Arts Council is partnering with Hollister Recreation for a Virtual Art Contest. Students are encouraged to draw an activity they enjoy while social distancing.
Any fun activity can be included. Compositions may include walking your pets or biking in your neighborhood, video chats with your classmates, playing with your siblings, or cooking with your family.
Artworks in any physical medium are allowed, from photographs, to drawings, to paintings.
Entries will be accepted Monday, May 18th through 10 AM, Friday, May 22nd. All San Benito County students, grades K-12, are eligible to participate.
To enter, post a photo of your original artwork on Facebook or Instagram by tagging your post with #HollisterVirtualRecreation. Submissions can also be made by emailing a photo to [email protected]. Winners will be announced May 22nd.
The Virtual Art Contest is a part of Hollister Recreation’s Virtual Recreation campaign. With all parks closed, recreation staff continues to remain committed to ensuring that local residents have resources to maintain healthy lives, foster relationships, and continue to make memorable experiences.
