Emmaus House and Community Solutions hosted the annual Walk a Mile in Her Shoes event in downtown Hollister. Local residents, including men, put on high heels and walked along the streets at this special event bringing awareness to domestic violence. About 200 locals took part in the walking portion or as volunteers. Local leaders spoke at a ceremony following the walk.
